Payam Airport ( Persian فرودگاه پیام) is an international cargo airport in Karaj around 60 km from Tehran , Iran . The airport was built in 1990, but officially opened in 1997. Payam Aviation Services Co. operate Payam Airport as well as Payam Airline , the Payam Logistics Center and the Post-Hub at the airport.
In addition to Hahn Airport , destinations such as Almaty (Kazakhstan), Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Baku (Azerbaijan) as well as Yerevan (Armenia) and Tbilisi (Georgia) have also been served since 1998 .
