Pedro Alcázar (born August 29, 1975 in Zapayal , Darién , † June 24, 2002 in Las Vegas ) was a Panamanian professional boxer.

Alcázar began his professional career in 1995. In June 2001 he won the WBO world championship in super flyweight against Adonis Rivas . However, the WBO was not yet one of the major associations at that time. He was able to defend this title twice before losing to Fernando Montiel on June 22, 2002 . After taking a series of body hits in the sixth round, the referee finally stopped this fight. At follow-up there were no signs of trauma . Two days later, he finally collapsed in his hotel room and was immediately hospitalized, but the doctors couldn't do anything for him. He died on the same day as a result of a head injury that was not recognized after the fight.
