Gertrud Bettina "Tina" Mendelsohn (* 1964 as Gertrud Bettina Bausmann ) is a German journalist, television presenter and filmmaker.

Career

Mendelsohn studied politics and contemporary history in Berlin and from 1989–1994 at the German School of Journalism . She worked as a journalist, news anchor and theater critic for Munich Radio M1 .

She came to television as a reporter for ORB Klartext and the SFB Kulturreport . She has been producing documentaries since 1997, including news from the Reichstag fire with Gerhard Brack in 2003 . She works as a freelancer for the BBC and Channel 4 .

Tina Mendelsohn became known for over 15 years primarily for her moderation of the 3sat magazine Kulturzeit , through which she ran from September 2001 to December 2016.

In 2016 she appeared in the mockumentary Operation Naked .

Mendelsohn has lived in London since 2000 . She is married to the historian of science Andrew Mendelsohn and has four children.

controversy

In 2013, the moderator obtained an injunction against the journalist Henryk M. Broder . However, the Federal Constitutional Court ultimately refused the compensation claimed.
