Pedro Messone

Pedro Messone (born June 6, 1939 in Temuco ) is a Chilean singer and actor.

Messone grew up in Valparaíso. There he attended the Seminario San Rafael and got to know musicians like Luis Urquidi at an early age . In 1962 in Santiago he formed the quartet Los Cuatro Cuartos with Urquidi, Fernando Torti and Raúl Morales . He was also active as an actor and appeared at the Teatro Ensayo of the Universidad Católica in Eugenio Guzmán's La pérgola de las flores . When the theater group received an invitation in 1964 to play the play on the most important stages in Mexico, he decided to leave the Cuatro Cuartos . He later acted in a few films, like that Volver, Tierra quemada (1968), El afuerino (1971) and Germán Beckers Ayúdeme usted, compadre .

He received offers to continue his acting career in Mexico, but preferred to return to Chile, where he had a success with Sergio Sauvalle with the song El corralero . He founded Los de Las Condes with Rolando Alarcón , José Luis Hernández and Renato Lederman . The group only existed for less than a year, but had success with El corralero at the Festival de Viña . He then became a member of Los Paulos (with Luis Valdés , Erwin Oehrens and Edgardo Bruna ), a group that performed La burrerita de Quillagua at the Festival de Viña Sofanor Tobar's La burrerita de Quillagua , but soon broke up. Then Messone decided on a career as a soloist.
