Pedro Santa Cecilia García called Pedro (born March 10, 1984 in Gijón ) is a Spanish football player who is under contract with the promoted and first division club Sporting Gijón and is mainly used in midfield . In his youth, Pedro played for the traditional team of the Jesuit-run school Colegio de la Inmaculada in Gijón. As a youth player, he moved to Sporting Gijón , the most important club in his hometown. He made his debut for the first team of Sporting on February 12, 2006 in a 0-0 draw against Recreativo Huelva . Over time, Pedro became a permanent fixture in the team, so that he played 37 of 38 games in the 2007/2008 promotion season and had a significant share in the promotion after ten years of abstinence from the first division.
