Peek-a-boo was a German music group from Lower Saxony .

The group is assigned the style of pop-rock and especially guitar pop . The name Peek-a-boo is based on the game of the same name for toddlers.

history

The group was founded by Henning Haar ( vocals / accordion ), Peter Jordan ( guitar ), Martin Ruoff (guitar), Carsten Lange, called Mini ( bass ) and Christian Prescher ( drums ). In 1998 Mini left the band and was replaced by André Schütz.

They released the single Red in 1996 . In 1998 they released their debut album My little circus , from which the single Daniel was decoupled. The producers of this album were Rainer Holst and Klaus-Peter Matziol ( Eloy ) of the Staccattostudio from Hanover.

The catchy voice of Henning Haar was a striking feature of the band's sound, which can also be heard from Daniel , for example .

The band saw itself primarily as a live band and performed a. a. as the opening act for groups like Runrig , Deep Blue Something , David Bowie , Pur , Joe Cocker and Die Toten Hosen .

Peter Jordan currently plays for Running Wild . Christian Prescher currently plays a. a. with Meike Köster and Audiojet . Mini is currently playing at Hype and also at Audiojet .
