Peggy Robertson

Peggy Robertson , born as Charlotte Peggy Singer (born September 13, 1916 in London , † February 6, 1998 in Woodland Hills , California ) was a close collaborator of Alfred Hitchcock . She was his personal assistant.

Peggy Singer was the daughter of Adolph Singer and Gladys Follick. Since 1946 she was married to the film editor Douglas W. Robertson (1908-1983).

After Hitchcock moved from England to Hollywood in 1940, she was responsible for Hitchcock's operational and strategic work. She was more than a secretary and, along with Alma Reville, the mainstay of Hitchcock.

After Hitchcock's death, she worked for Peter Bogdanovich .
