Peissen hole

The Peissener hole is a large area, in the municipality Peissen in Steinburg season and also reaching about them sinkhole or subsidence funnel as Geotop is classified. The regional saga of the Peißen Greet goes into deepening it .

The Peissener Loch was created by the collapse of cavities that were created during the Eem warm period through the leaching of a salt dome below the site .

The geotope was included in the landscape master plan of the region.
