Tolkkinen denied his only jumping in the ski jumping World Cup on January 10, 1981 in Harrachov . With 10th place he was able to win a total of six World Cup points. As a result, he finished together with Thomas Klauser , Ulrich Pschera and Nobuo Nakatsu in 66th place in the overall World Cup ranking of the 1980/81 season .
