The Peletier Plateau is an icy high plateau in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . With an extension of 32 km in length and 8 km in width, it forms the southern part of the Queen Elizabeth Range in the Transantarctic Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the plateau in 1966 by Rear Admiral Eugene J. Peletier (1910-2004) from the Civil Engineer Corps of the US Navy , the Admiral George J. Dufek (1903-1977) in the preparations of the second Operation Deep Freeze ( 1956–1957) had helped.
