Pellinger plateaus

The Pellingen plateaus with a size of 39.6 square kilometers are a natural spatial unit in Rhineland-Palatinate and are around 400 to 500 meters above sea level around the town of Pellingen . The main river of the area is the upper Olewiger Bach .

The plateaus are in the area of ​​the municipalities of Konz , Trier-Land , Ruwer , Saarburg-Kell and the southeastern districts of Trier .

The north-south extension of the area is up to 15 kilometers, the east-west extension up to 5 kilometers. Neighboring natural units are the Ruwerengtal in the east, the Saar-Hunsrück in the southwest, the Irsch-Wiltinger Hunsrückrand and the Kommlinger Umlauftal in the west, the Tarforster Plateau in the northwest and the Lower Ruwertal in the north.
