The Tarforster Plateau with a size of 41.1533 square kilometers is a natural spatial unit within the main unit group Moselle Valley in Rhineland-Palatinate .
It extends south of the Trier Moselle valley over the high altitude districts of Trier and over parts of the municipalities of Konz , Trier-Land and Ruwer .
The main rivers in the area are Kandelbach , Olewiger Bach and Avelsbach .
