The area lies south of the Moselle and includes parts of the association communities Schweich on the Roman Wine Route , Neumagen-Dhron , Bernkastel-Kues , Thalfang am Erbeskopf , Hermeskeil , Ruwer and the district of Trier-Ruwer / Eitelsbach .
The main rivers of the area are the Kleine Dhron , the Dhron and the Feller Bach .
