Pelly Crossing is a place in the Canadian Yukon Territory with 296 inhabitants (2006).
It is located 282 km northwest of Whitehorse and 254 km southeast of Dawson . The Klondike Highway crosses the Pelly River at Pelly Crossing .
The place began to develop in the early 20th century as a ferry station across the Pelly River and as a supply store for the highway workers. Today, Pelly Crossing is mainly inhabited by Selkirk First Nation Indians , who were relocated there after the highway was built in order to simplify administration.
