The Pemmican Step is next to the Biscuit Step one of the two steps in the course of the Tucker Glacier in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It lies above the confluence of the Leander Glacier . Its southern section is heavily furrowed, while the northern part is ideal for dog sledding.
Participants in a 1957-1958 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named them after the pemmican that was part of their food rations.
