The Pendant Lake ( English for trailer lake ) is a small, meromictic and up to 21 m deep lake on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is one of the three lakes in the Vestfold Mountains where the copepod Paralabidocera antarctica is common.
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it descriptively in 1979 because its shape is reminiscent of a pendant.
