Pentad calendar
A pentad calendar is a calendar that uses five-day weeks (= pentads) as the main units. The leap day is either removed from the weekly rhythm or a pentad is extended by one day.
The pentad calendars include:
- the Discordian calendar
- the Soviet revolution calendar (until December 1, 1931, then six-day week)
- the Aztec calendar (parallel to the 13-day week )
- the Maréchal calendar ( draft calendar , parallel to the ten-day week )
