Pepe Delgado
José "Pepe" Delgado (* probably 1948 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a former Mexican football player in the position of a center forward .
career
Pepe Delgado already played in the junior division of his home club Atlas Guadalajara , where he was under contract throughout his professional career from 1965 to 1979.
Delgado belonged to the generation of the so-called Niños Catedráticos . From the Guadalajara newspaper El Informador he was included in the formation of the best eleven players in Club Atlas history.
In 1968 he won the Mexican Cup with Atlas with a 2-1 final win over CD Veracruz . In the 1970s he was relegated to Atlas twice from the first division , but managed to get promoted again in both cases.
After his active career, Pepe Delgado worked as a trainer in the junior division of Atlas.
