Per Olof Ekström
Per Olof Ekström (born April 26, 1926 in Gotland County , Sweden ; † October 4, 1981 in Bucharest , Romania ) was a Swedish writer and journalist.
He achieved worldwide fame through the film adaptation of his novel You danced only one summer (published in 1949, original title Sommardansen ). The film adaptation of the novel (1951) is one of the most successful Swedish films ever. The film caused a sensation on an international level, especially because of the love scenes that were very revealing for the time, in which naked bodies could also be seen.
