Periodic safety report

Periodic Safety Report ( PSB ) is the name given to comprehensive and scientifically sound assessments of the national crime situation .

The first German periodic safety report was published jointly in 2001 by the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Federal Ministry of the Interior . The second periodic security report followed in 2006. The reports cover almost the entire spectrum of crime from a descriptive and analytical point of view.

The ministries commissioned representatives from university criminology , sociology and psychology as well as representatives from the Federal Criminal Police Office , the Federal Statistical Office and the Central Criminological Office to prepare the PSB . These included: Roland Eckert , Wolfgang Heinz , Hans-Jürgen Kerner , Christian Pfeiffer , Karl F. Schumann and Peter Wetzels .
