The Perlini DP 705 WD is a large dump truck from the Italian manufacturer Perlini Equipment , which has been in series production since 2013. The dump truck is designed for moving large amounts of spoil in deep open-cast mines with difficult conditions.

The DP 705 WD has rear-wheel drive and reaches a maximum of 60 km / h. It is 9.83 m long, 4.65 m wide and 4.53 m high; the wheelbase is 4.65 m. The drive is diesel-mechanical . You can choose from a 12- cylinder 12V-2000 EURO 2 engine from MTU Detroit Diesel or a Scania DC 16385A . The 12V-2000 engine has a displacement of 23.89 liters and develops 567 kW (760 hp). The DC-16385A engine is a V8 diesel engine with a displacement of 16.4 liters and an output of 770 hp (566 kW) at 2000 min −1 , which meets the EURO 5 standard. Power is transferred to the wheels by an Allison H6620A automatic transmission with hydraulic torque converter and planetary gear sets . The turning radius is 11 m. The suspension works hydropneumatically, there are stabilizers on both axles . The vehicle is equipped with a central lubrication system as standard . The driver's cab, which is secured against falling objects in accordance with the safety regulations ( Falling Object Protection Structure ), is located next to the engine compartment above the left wheel arch and can be reached via a ladder at the front of the vehicle. The tipping skip holds a maximum of 30.5 m³ (heaped up to 42.0 m³) and can be moved from the horizontal into the tipping position with two hydraulic cylinders. The maximum payload is 65 tons, the manufacturer specifies the empty weight of the DP 705 WD as 44.3 tons, which results in a permissible total weight of 109.3 tons.
