Perry Paul

Perry Paul (real name Helmut Paul ; born August 26, 1953 in Krumbach ) is a German ventriloquist and magician . Together with his wife and partner Eva Maria ("Perry & Eve") he won the Grand Prix of Illusions (1981). He is chairman of the magic circle of Mindelheim (1993) and a founding member of the Rotary Club Krumbach District 1840.

Born the son of a school principal, Perry Paul attended the University of Augsburg after graduating from Simpert-Kraemer -Gymnasium Krumbach , where he graduated in education , mathematics and sport in 1976 . He started doing magic at the age of 11 and made his first public appearance at 17. He learned ventriloquism auto-didactically alongside his five-year career as a teacher. The first television appearance followed in December 1979 at a charity event organized by Humedica . In the same year he was awarded the Rivera e Musica Prize for the best stage performance of the season in Alassio . His international breakthrough came with winning the Grand Prix of Illusions for the most modern stage show. Due to his success as a stage artist, he ended his teaching career (1982) and became a professional entertainer .

His art, which he has also mastered in the English language, brought him international success. Among other things, he showed the southernmost ventriloquist show in the world in Antarctica (2006). Whether Hawaii , Papua New Guinea or the Federal Chancellor Festival, Perry has professionally traveled to all continents and over 85 countries around the world.

His shows today are characterized by intelligent humor, sophisticated presentations, adaptive show concepts and perfect ventriloquist technology. Perry has been regularly involved on cruise lines since 1980. Since 2004 he has been an integral part of the TV show Schwaben weissblau on BR . Since 2009 he has been touring Germany with his solo program Träume Lachen .

He is referred to by the press as the “gentleman ventriloquist of Germany”.
