Staff - Journal of Human Resource Management was one of 1968 appears to 2011 trade magazine for strategic human resource management . It was the successor to Mensch und Arbeit - magazine for creative management and was quarterly inherited by staff .

It was aimed at executives in the human resources departments of private companies and public administration. The different sized contributions included the areas of human resources , personnel management , personnel development , personnel management and labor law .

From 1968 to 1991 the magazine was published by the Mensch und Arbeit publishing house in Munich, then from 1991 to 2001 by the business publisher Bachem in Cologne and most recently from 2001 to 2011 by the Handelsblatt publishing group in Düsseldorf.

The magazine was initially published irregularly, later on a monthly basis. In the course of time, it had different titles such as people and work in the company, problem solving and personnel management + technology + organization. There were also special editions and specials. Most recently, business journalist Ruth Lemmer was editor-in-chief from 2004 to 2011 .
