Ruth Lemmer

Ruth Lemmer (* 1955 in Solingen ) is a German journalist and publicist .

Life

Lemmer studied history and German and graduated in 1982 with the first state examination. Then she was a police and court reporter for the Neue Ruhr Zeitung in Düsseldorf. In 1985 she started as a trainee in the Handelsblatt publishing group . From 1987 to 1993 she worked as an editor for Wirtschaftswoche and Manager Magazin . She has been working as a freelance journalist since 1993. From 1999 to 2002 she coordinated a supplement to the Handelsblatt . In 2003, she took over the redesign of the specialist magazine Personal within the Handelsblatt publishing group. From 2004 to 2011 she was its editor-in-chief .

In 1986 she became a member of the German Union of Journalists . From 2010 to 2014 she was the state executive in North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 2009 it belongs to the WDR - Broadcasting on. In 2010 she became a member of the supervisory board of WDR mediagroup , where she was deputy chairwoman of the committee for broadcasting development from 2013 to the end of 2016. Since December 2017 she has been chairwoman of the supervisory board of WDR mediagroup.

Lemmer is married and has one child.
