PeruSat-1 (PerúSAT-1) is an earth observation satellite of the Peruvian Ministry of Defense and is maintained by Peru's CONIDA ( La Comisión Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo Aeroespacial ).

It was launched into sun-synchronous orbit on September 16, 2016 at 1:43 UTC with a Vega launcher from the Center Spatial Guyanais rocket launch site (together with SkySat 4, 5, 6 and 7) .

The three-axis stabilized satellite is equipped with an optical telescope with a 65 cm mirror, which is partly made of silicon carbide and has a resolution of 70 cm (2 m resolution in color with four channels). The swath width is 20 km. It is designed to provide earth observation data for the military, agriculture, the fight against drug trafficking and civil protection. It was built on the basis of the new AstroBus-S satellite bus from Airbus Defense and Space and was ordered in April 2014. The satellite bus, also known as "AstroBus-300", is based on the larger AstroBus-500. The data transmission to earth takes place in the X-band with 180 to 310 Mbit / s. Telemetry and control take place in the S-band .
