The Peschkenhaus dates from the 15th century and is the oldest surviving town house in the Lower Rhine town of Moers . Today's gallery is a listed building and is located on Neumarkt in the city center.

It was built around 1460 in the late Gothic style. In the 18th century it was converted into a small city ​​palace before it received its classical plastered facade around 1800 . From 1972 to the end of 2002 the building housed the Peschkenhaus municipal gallery.

Today the Peschkenhaus serves as a supraregional exhibition and meeting place. Works of art and exhibits of contemporary art are presented in changing exhibitions . It is run by the Kunstverein Peschkenhaus Moers eV, founded in 2007. Under the number 10 in the list of monuments of the city Moers registered monument can be used for marriages since in 2009.
