The Plague Column or Trinity Column ( Romanian Monumentul Sfintei Treimi or Monumentul Ciumei ) in Timișoara , Romania is a Baroque monument in the middle of the Piața Unirii (also Cathedral Square ). The monument of the type plague column was created between 1739 and 1740 by the sculptor Georg Raphael Donner in Vienna and transported to Timișoara by water.

The statue was donated by Johann Anton Deschan von Hansen out of gratitude for surviving the plague of 1738–1739. From 1994 to 1995 it was restored by Ion Oprescu . The three worst plagues that had afflicted Timisoara were depicted on the pedestal: the plague, wars and hunger .
