Petar Petrov (cyclist)

Petar Petrow ( Bulgarian Петър Петров ; born January 3, 1966 in Varna , Bulgaria) is a former Bulgarian cyclist and national champion in cycling.

As an amateur (he belonged to the Lok Sofia association), he took part in the International Peace Tour four times in the early 1980s . In addition to the second place in 1987, he was also able to place himself excellently with the 8th place in 1985. In 1986 he won the sixth stage of the tour and also won the mountain classification. In 1983 he became Bulgarian champion in the individual time trial .

Petrow was a professional from 1991 to 1999. In the first three years he rode for the Portuguese cycling team Tavira-Atum Bom Petisco . After a few changes - he started exclusively for Portuguese teams - he drove for the Portuguese team Gresco-Tavira for the last two years of his professional career .
