Petar Vasić

Petar M. Vasić (* 1934 ; † 1996 ) was a Serbian mathematician who dealt with analysis and especially inequalities .

Vasic received his doctorate in 1963 at the University of Belgrade with Dragoslav Mitrinović (On some quadratic functional equations (Serbian)) and was professor in Belgrade from 1976.

Josip Pečarić is one of his doctoral students .

In 1969 he became a member of the Serbian Scientific Society.
