The EWF-Biathlon-Arena is a biathlon stadium in the municipality of Willingen in the Hessian part of the Rothaargebirge .
history
In 1997, a 2.5 km long paved and illuminated roller-skis track was built to offer biathletes and cross-country skiers optimal training opportunities in summer and winter, regardless of the weather and time of day. In 2001, the facility was supplemented by a shooting range with 15 shooting lanes for small caliber . In order to be able to use the stadium for competitions as well, the shooting range was extended by a further ten shooting lanes in 2007 and a functional building was built. This is equipped with a storage room, sanitary facilities and changing rooms and also offers space for team meetings and the referees, who have a good view of the course and the competition through generous glazing. In 2009 a snow-making system was set up that can provide artificial snow for the entire route. The water is taken from the specially created reservoir.

Otherwise, there are usually only regional races and races in the junior area.
