Johann Gottlob Veiel

Johann Gottlob Veiel (born November 29, 1772 in Blaubeuren , † February 16, 1855 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg senior bailiff.

Johann Gottlob Veiel was the son of the mayor and court judge Georg Friedrich Veiel (1727–1800) in Blaubeuren and Catharina Sibylla Waaser (1739–1794). In 1799 he married Caroline Lang (* 1780). His son Gottlob Adolf Veiel was a member of the state parliament of Württemberg from 1838 to 1849 .

life and work

Johann Gottlob Veiel attended the monastery school in Blaubeuren and from 1788 to 1792 the Karlsschule in Stuttgart. From 1792 he studied law at the University of Tübingen . In 1796 he became a lawyer and from 1799 to 1810 he was a hospital head nurse in Blaubeuren. From 1810 to 1819 he headed the Oberamt Reutlingen and from 1819 to 1838 the Oberamt Marbach . In 1838 he retired.
