Pete Woods

Peter "Pete" Woods is an American comic book artist .

Life and work

Woods began working as a full-time draftsman at the US comic book publisher Wildstorm in the mid-1990s , where he quickly became one of Jim Lee's closest collaborators . Woods eventually left Wildstorm to start Mercury Studio with fellow Portland artists including his wife Rebecca Woods .

Parallel to working for his own studio, Woods mainly works as a draftsman for the two major US comic publishers DC Comics and Marvel Comics . While Woods was responsible for such well-known series as Robin , Catwoman and Action Comics for DC , as well as the unusual series Amazons Attack , for Marvel he mainly worked on action-heavy insider tips such as Deadpool and Backlash . Some of the authors with whom Woods has collaborated artistically particularly often include Chuck Dixon and Ed Brubaker .
