Peter run

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Peter-Lauf is a running event in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl that was first held in 1995. The main run was a 100 km run on a 10 km lap until 2004. A marathon has been part of the program since 2000 (“Kaiserstuhl Wine Marathon”). In 2003 the German Championships in the 100 km run took place as part of the Peter Run. In 2005, the 10 km lap was replaced by a 50 km lap through the Kaiserstuhl , which participants in the ultramarathon competitions ran through one (50 km) or twice (100 km), the marathon has now become a big one Round and a half marathonwas included in the program. In 2006 and 2007 the ultra competitions had to be canceled.

The marathon route begins at the town hall in Endingen, leads past the Katharinenberg to the hill between Kiechlinsbergen and Oberbergen and then to Oberrotweil . From there it goes through the vineyards of Ihringen . Then it goes through the Liliental below the skull to the acorn tip . There the nature reserve Badberg is crossed before it goes over the Sumberg and the Erletal to the destination on the Endinger Marktplatz. A total of 1483 meters of altitude has to be overcome, so that one can definitely speak of a mountain marathon here . The half marathon route, a circuit over Eichelspitze and Badberg, is challenging with 721 meters of altitude.

There has not been a Peter Run since 2008.
