Peter Adamski

Peter Adamski (* 1948 ) is a German pedagogue and history didactician . Since 2002 he has been a senior student councilor at the Department for Didactics of History at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . Adamski also appeared as a textbook author and has been co-editor of the magazine Geschichteearning since 2004 .

Life

Adamski studied political science and history in Marburg. This was followed by a doctorate in education on "Elementary schools and industrial schools in Württemberg in the 19th century". Between 1978 and 2002 he worked at the Kassel Friedrichsgymnasium , where he also founded and directed a history workshop. Since 1995 he has also worked in teacher training in the field of historical and political education. His main focus here was methodological competence as well as the documentation and reflection of learning processes.

Since 2002 he has been working at the history didactics seminar with Gerhard Henke-Bockschatz in Frankfurt am Main. His teaching focuses include the latest and contemporary history, the methodology of history teaching and the new teaching and learning culture.
