Peter Adolf Boysen
Peter Adolf Boysen (born November 5, 1690 in Aschersleben , † January 12, 1743 in Halberstadt ) was a German Protestant theologian, philosopher and historian.
Life
He first studied law at the University of Wittenberg and then moved to the University of Halle to study theology. In 1716 he became pastor in Aschersleben, in 1718 rector at the cathedral school in Halberstadt, in 1723 pastor at the Church of Our Lady and in 1731 was appointed consistorial councilor.
Boysen wrote theological, philological and historical writings on antiquities. So the “New Acerra philologica or Gründl. News from philology and Roman and Greek antiquities ”(Hall 1715),“ De legione fulminatrice ”(1719),“ Phaedri fabulae ”(1714) and“ Historia Mich. Serveti "(1712).
