Peter Bauer (* 1939 ) is a German theater and film actor .

Life

Peter Bauer is best known from the first generation of Sesame Street in Germany , in which he appears in the stories about Mr. K. and Dr. Blau ( Peter Arff ) played the role of Mr. K. (produced 1975–1983). These humorous short stories, which mostly dealt with complications in everyday life, were broadcast until August 1994. His trademarks were a schnauzer, horn-rimmed glasses , a suit and the hat, which according to a song he never took off ("I never go without a hat"). But he also played the little "Tramp" and the hobbyist "Hans Heinrich".

In "Sesame Street" he also appeared in a wide variety of roles in more than 40 filmed songs , which were also broadcast regularly between 1978 and 1994 ( composed, sung and staged by Christoph Busse ). He also sang some of these songs himself, for example as "Herr K." the sun song to convey (1977), in which he had to try with great difficulty in the pouring rain, a "sun-feeling".

He is one of the founding members of the Theater Grüne Sosse in Frankfurt am Main.
