Peter Denton
Peter Lindsay Denton (born June 10, 1926 , † December 3, 2000 in Sydney ) was an Australian pole vaulter .
In 1950 he won bronze at the British Empire Games in Auckland , and in 1954 he finished eighth in the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver . At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he was eliminated from qualification.
He was Australian champion four times (1949, 1950, 1952, 1953). He set his personal best of 4.06 m in 1954.
