Peter Dreßen (politician, 1914)

Peter Dreßen (born June 17, 1914 in Gemünd , today Schleiden ; † August 28, 1993 ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

After attending primary school, Dreßen was a trainee master baker and confectioner and then worked independently in a pastry shop with a café. He was also a district apprentice warden for all trades. From 1950 he sat in the general assembly of the Aachen Chamber of Crafts , from 1960 on the board.

Dreßen became a member of the FDP in 1952, where he was deputy chairman of the Schleiden district association in 1956 . In 1952 he was elected to the Gemünden City Council and the Schleiden District Assembly for the first time, and in 1964 he became mayor of the city of Gemünd. On June 24, 1969, he moved to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, to which he was a member until July 25, 1970.
