Peter Ellegast

Peter Ellegast (born April 15, 1939 in Konstanz ) is a German business manager.

Life

Peter Ellegast, from a family in Constance, studied economics at the University of Cologne .

Ellegast joined the Woolworth company at the age of 26 and became a board member in 1977 and chairman of the board of directors of FW Woolworth Co. GmbH ( Woolworth Germany ) in 1985 . On December 31, 1995, he left Woolworth; the German subsidiary separated in 1998 from the American parent company Woolworth Company, which no longer exists.

Ellegast was then a member of the company management for the departments controlling, organization, logistics, auditing and construction and as a general representative of the textile trading company Peek & Cloppenburg (P&C) responsible for the expansion in Germany. He was the initiator of the P&C projects with Richard Meier for the headquarters in Düsseldorf and Renzo Piano for the Weltstadthaus in Cologne . In 1999 he retired.

He has been a member of the German student association KDStV Salia (Breslau, Paderborn) in Cologne and the KDStV Rhineland Cologne, both in the CV , since 1959 .
