Peter Emmrich (pediatrician)

Peter Emmrich (born November 21, 1938 ; † March 16, 2011 ) was a German medic.

Life

After studying medicine in Bonn and Innsbruck, Emmrich completed his specialist training in Mainz from 1966 to 1970, where he completed his habilitation in 1971 and took over the management of the then nationwide focus on pediatric intensive care and neonatology at the University of Mainz .

From May 1, 1983, Emmrich was Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical Faculty of the Technical University of Munich . At the same time, he was chief physician in charge of the children's clinic at the Schwabing municipal hospital . On September 30, 2001 he retired.

Peter Emmrich was married and had three children.
