Peter Friedrich (born March 10, 1942 in Gera ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Friedrich was a member of the German Bundestag from 1998 to 2002 . He moved into the Bundestag as a direct candidate in the Altenburg - Schmölln - Greiz - Gera-Land II constituency.

biography

Friedrich studied political economy , journalism and law . He worked as a precision mechanic , nurse , assistant and lawyer .

Friedrich is married and has two sons.

Friedrich joined the SPD in 1990 and was sub-district chairman of the SPD Altenburg from 1991 to 1993. Friedrich became chairman of the SPD Thuringia party council in 1992 . From 1990 to 1998 he was a member and vice-president of the Thuringian state parliament . From 1998 to 2002 he was a member of the Bundestag.

Since October 26, 2009, Friedrich 2nd has been Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Altenburger Land .
