The Bundestag constituency Gera - Greiz - Altenburger Land (constituency 194, in the federal elections 2009 and 2013 constituency 195) is a constituency in Thuringia . It includes the independent city of Gera and the districts of Greiz and Altenburger Land . The previous constituencies were the constituencies Altenburg - Schmölln - Greiz - Gera-Land II and Greiz - Altenburger Land .

For the 2017 federal election , the city of Gera was added to the Greiz-Altenburger Land constituency. The change in the constituency division became necessary because Thuringia lost one constituency for the 2017 federal election and the Gera - Jena - Saale-Holzland district was dissolved.

The 2017 federal election took place on September 24th. Volkmar Vogel (CDU) was able to defend his direct mandate in the newly tailored constituency.
