The Bundestag constituency Gotha - Ilm-Kreis (constituency 192) is an electoral district in Thuringia . It includes the district of Gotha and the Ilm district . In the 2005 Bundestag election , 218,863 residents were entitled to vote. The predecessor constituency with similar territory was the constituency of Gotha - Arnstadt , which was supplemented by the areas of the former Ilmenau district in the south for the 2002 federal election .

The 2017 federal election took place on September 24th. The constituency is one of the two of the eight remaining constituencies in Thuringia that were not redesigned in 2017. Tankred Schipanski (CDU) defended his direct mandate.
