The Bundestag constituency Jena - Sömmerda - Weimarer Land I (constituency 191) is an electoral district in Thuringia . It includes the independent city of Jena , the district of Sömmerda and the district of Weimarer Land, excluding the rural community of Grammetal . The predecessor constituencies were the constituencies Sömmerda - Artern - Sondershausen - Langensalza , Kyffhäuserkreis - Sömmerda - Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis II and Kyffhäuserkreis - Sömmerda - Weimar area I .
For the 2017 federal election , the Kyffhäuserkreis left the constituency, while the city of Jena was added to the constituency. The change in the constituency division became necessary because Thuringia lost one constituency in the 2017 federal election.
