Ulrike Dorothea "Dorle" Marx (born December 22, 1957 in Munich ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the German Bundestag from 1990 to 1998 and has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament since 2009 .

Career

Marx grew up in Hesse and joined the SPD on her 16th birthday in 1973. In 1976 she passed the Abitur in Bad Vilbel and then studied law in Frankfurt am Main from 1976 to 1982 . After the first state examination, she was a research assistant at the Institute for Labor, Commercial and Civil Law in Frankfurt am Main from 1981 to 1984. In 1989 she passed the second state examination, after which she worked as a lawyer in Frankfurt.

From 1981 to 1991 Marx was a city councilor in Bad Vilbel. In 1990 she was elected to the German Bundestag for the SPD Hessen , to which she belonged during the 12th and 13th electoral periods (1990-1998). Until 1998 she was a member of the state executive committee of the Hessian SPD and a member of the Federal Party Council.

Marx has been a lawyer in Sondershausen (Thuringia) since 1998 . In 2004 she became deputy SPD district chairman in the Kyffhäuserkreis . In the 2005 federal election she ran for the Thuringian SPD, but lost to Peter Albach in the Kyffhäuserkreis - Sömmerda - Weimarer Land I constituency . In the state elections in 2009 , she was elected to the Thuringian state parliament over number 12 on the SPD state list. She is the chair of the state parliament investigation committee on the National Socialist Underground (NSU). In this context, she came to the following results or allegations:

  • “Systemic failure” is what she called the string of mishaps
  • She attested the authorities involved "voluntary knowledge isolation"
  • With regard to the protection of the constitution, there should be no “misunderstood corps spirit”
  • She openly denounced the gaps in memory that many of the witnesses had found

In December 2013 she was elected to the board of the SPD parliamentary group. After Uwe Höhn's departure , she was elected Vice-President of the Thuringian State Parliament on September 27, 2017.

Marx is married and has two daughters.
