Peter Heimrich

Peter Heimrich (born April 11, 1970 in Bad Salzungen ) is a German SPD politician and was District Administrator of the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in Thuringia from 2012 to 2018 .

Life

In the 1970s Heimrich attended secondary school in Breitungen and then the polytechnic high school "Hans Beimler" in Breitungen, which he left in 1986. Heimrich is in a partnership, has two children and lives in Breitungen .

Career

Heimrich was Mayor of Breitungen (Werra) from September 26, 2004 to June 30, 2012.

In the local elections in Thuringia in 2012, Heimrich ran for the SPD as a district administrator in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district . With 60.0% of the valid votes cast, he was elected to the district administrator of the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in the runoff election. Heimrich did not run again in the 2018 local elections due to health problems. Peggy Greiser prevailed as her successor in the local elections on April 15, 2018 .
