Peter Heine (judge)

Peter Heine (* 1957 in Hanover ) is a German lawyer , judge and president of the Lower Saxony-Bremen State Social Court .

biography

Heine grew up in Hanover. He studied law at the University of Göttingen . He then worked as a lawyer for a few months, but soon switched to the judiciary. In 1987 he became a judge at the Braunschweig Regional Court and has lived in Braunschweig since then . In 1992/93 he worked for a year as an advisor and judge at the district court in Magdeburg for the restructuring of the judiciary there. From 1996 to 2010 he was head of department and ministerial director in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice. In 2010 he was appointed President of the Lower Saxony-Bremen Regional Social Court in Celle as the successor to Monika Paulat .

Heine was active in athletics in the middle and long distance as well as in the obstacle course. He is chairman of the Friends' Association and sponsor of the Braunschweig running team .
