Peter Hoch (carpenter)
Peter Hoch (* 1599 in Liestal , mentioned until 1652) was a Swiss carpenter .
life and work
Peter Hoch learned the carpentry trade like his father Hans Jacob Hoch. In 1632 he repaired the pulpit in the church in Liestal and in 1641 created the pulpit in the church of Sissach . In 1643 he supplied a chair for this church. Together with his son Hans, he made the pulpit in the church of Gelterkinden in 1646 . Other works are attributed to him.
In 1627 he was banned from the Basel region for two years for magic. In 1649 he tried in vain to obtain official certification of his sons' teaching from the Guild of Spinning Weather in Basel.
