Peter Huckauf

Peter Huckauf (born May 12, 1940 in Bad Liebenwerda ) is a German writer .

He is a trained telecommunications mechanic and has worked as a library employee in Berlin since 1975 . In 1977 Huckauf founded the “Neue Freiheit” publishing house, in which he mainly wrote his own works in magazine-like series under the titles Bekassine (1978–1981), Ach sO / LALLschwAeLLe pumPHuts zwerchfAeLLe (1982–1989), Chimaere (since 1987) and pumPHutION (1989 –1990) produced. From 2006 his publishing house is called “chimaere Edition”. He has received several work grants from the Berlin Senate as well as the prize in the radio play and storytelling competition of the East German Cultural Council in 1980.
