Sir Peter James Denton Job (born July 13, 1941 ) is a British manager .

The trained journalist worked for the British news agency Reuters from 1963 until his retirement in July 2001 , from 1991 to 2001 as CEO . From 1971 he built up the agency for Reuters in South America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East and headed the Asia department from 1978 to 1991. For his services to the media, he was in 2001 for Knight Bachelor beaten.

Job has been a member of the supervisory board of the US software company TIBCO since June 2000 , Deutsche Bank AG since 2001 , Shell Transport & Trading PLC since July 2005 and the British investment bank Schroders PLC.
